Ski & Snowboard Services

Benefits of Tuning Your Skis or Snowboard

Race Base offers several ski and snowboard tuning services, all of which are focused on helping you get the most out of your day on the snow! All of our tuning is done on high-end Wintersteiger machines operated by our highly experienced ski technicians. We all like to go fast and in control in a variety of snow conditions, whether in waist-deep powder, or on hard-packed groomers. That starts with a great finish on the base of your skis or snowboard. Ski wax creates a lubricant that enables you to glide freely and overcome the snow’s natural friction. There are many different types of snow conditions, which vary depending on the snow’s moisture content and temperature. We will always wax with a universal wax, unless otherwise specified by you, the customer. We can tailor the base grinding profile, edge angles and wax type to suit your specific preferences.
